Pakistan’s Pride; Syed Faizan Hussain received most prestigious Queen’s Young Leaders Award 2017 in UK

The 23 year old, Syed Faizan Hussain has been recognized and awarded by the Queen’s Young Leader Awards 2017 during a ceremony held on 30th June 2017, at the Buckingham Palace in the UK for his contribution towards social development sector in Pakistan.

Faizan is a young, talented social entrepreneur who intends to utilize technology to create solutions for his deprived community.  He has developed two health based mobile applications which includes      Edu-Aid, which translates sign language into spoken language and One Health, a disease surveillance and tracking system which notifies health institutions about epidemic outbreaks. Along with that he has also been actively involved in the Vocational Studies Program for Youth of Saylani Welfare Trust where he has taught and mentored 200 students from underprivileged backgrounds and equipped them with the computer programming skills. Currently, the young entrepreneur is looking forward to develop a technology consultant and outsourcing company for small businesses and entrepreneurs, with name Venture Dart.

Queen’s Young Leaders Award is an annual award ceremony that looks for people aged between 18-29 years from Commonwealth nations and acknowledges them for their leadership potential. The award was established via the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, Comic Relief and the Royal Commonwealth Society in 2014.
